But at least someone is to safeguard what we already knew a little science. Here's the short version: If you have a child with mood problems, or sometimes hostile acts, then it is likely to stay away from violent video games. He is the guy that most blame, not the entire game.

This is the meat of what the psychologist Patrick Markey of Villanova University presented at the American Psychological Association recently. Markey has published in the Journal of General Psychology. It was based on responses from 118 participants met in 2009, where half of playing violent games and half non-violent.

"If you're worried about turning a video game your son or daughter of a murderer, do not worry about that," says Markey. "But your child is capricious and impulsive, or are hostile? Probably not the best idea to have a child playing violent video games. "
