Speaking to GameSpot in a new interview on the state of the Lego brand, Kelley opened an explosion of popular franchise. He said that this was due in part to correctly translate the characteristics, physical characteristics and stories of Lego toys in the digital space and provide a set of toy always accompanies the release of a software.

Also during the interview, Kelley opened in Lego: Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkien purists claim enjoy the game while being sprinkled with moments "may not agree" with material emblematic fountain of the author. Moreover, Kelley explained why Funcom - developer of the nominal average age of Conan - was the right person for a new MMO Lego, Lego and said that is committed to offering its games for Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4.

What do you think of the Lego brand now? Is it healthy? Pain? Stable? When you see it now, at the end of the year 2012?

digital side of things, where a large number of developers and publishers are struggling a bit, and we see the end of the console cycle ... We were lucky to be in the position where they are.

Lego: LOTR will not deviate from Tolkien's story, says Kelley. Can you talk about what was responsible for the explosion in the popularity of Lego games?

I think it is a combination of many different parties and stakeholders within the LEGO Group. You saw a strong cohesion and obvious theme of their relationship with our physical product, and how the characteristics, functions and histories of these issues translated into digital space. You look at a figure and start a game, a story of failure. When you take that and put it in a digital format, especially when an important issue associated with it, it really is based on the fun that can be integrated into a digital experience and translate well, and we see that in all areas of our target group of 7-9 years and adults. We saw a lot of people who really love Lego games so that the factor of challenge and replayability.

"Many developers and publishers are struggling a bit, and we see the end of the console cycle ... we were very lucky."

How to translate these basic functions of DNA in our games, I think it plays well on both sides. I think it's an idea on how they can inspire someone playing toyset really want to try to play the game and I really want to play the game with toyset. It is a healthy balance that we were able to feed and support over the last 5-6 years.

We saw a new Lego set each year for the last decade. Is the LEGO Group concerned saturation or supersaturation brand?

forever. Yes of course. Any developer or publisher to exist, or toy manufacturer always looked [brand saturation] from a sharp, strategic and competitive. And it is important that we add for each new game. There is always something new, always something different. We are always looking to add different layers, whether a feature or function or new hardware, we have the luxury of having over the years. So there is certainly always been a concern, and it is only important to maintain a healthy balance. We design each party in support of a major product. We have learned from the past that need support to ensure that all parties supported a central theme that physically we offer our customers.

that Lego: Lord of the Rings, this is obviously a major project for the Lego Group. The material for this game, as you know, is dark and serious, but the Lego brand is all about accessibility and lightweight. These ideas seem to be in contrast. So where is the line drawn.

is like a game darker when it comes to Lord of the Rings, but it is a great opportunity for Lego, so that we can bring this lightness and humor into what could really be a serious situation. We were able to provide DNA and Lego humor and really inject humor in situations that may not be appropriate, but it's just the fact that a simple movement or gesture of a little Lego figurine completely illuminates only given the time and it would be a serious situation for a moment more hysterical. And you've seen this pattern over and play our TT is very, very good and accomplished in understanding the Lego brand and how humor can really lighten the moment and create a less serious. This was something that we paid a lot of time and attention, especially in regard to the Lord of the Rings, and the end result turns out to be something special.

Lego. Lord of the Rings not deviate from the history of Tolkien says Kelley

Kelley believes Lego and Nintendo fans are very much alike.

you afraid, however, that some purists will be put off by Tolkien that? Did you hear something?

No, not really. But I think the way the game is designed, the story continues. Any deviation from it, so I think for fans of Middle-earth and Tolkien purists will appreciate what we are capable of doing, but also continue to provide these moments that even if you're a purist Tolkien is a time that can laugh. Gay instantiated it would be a more serious problem or tone, so I think it will attract a lot of different consumers.

Do you think that Tolkien himself would make this game? You think I would play if it was there?

[Laughs] I hope so. This is obviously a question of whether it would be in the game in the first place. I hope. Yes, I want it to be able to play our game and get information directly from him. That would be awesome.
